A Chesley Bonestell Space Art Chronology , by Melvin Schuetz, describes more than 750 different publications and is the definitive work on the subject. The Hugo Award-winning The Art of Chesley Bonestell contains more than 300 illustrations, 200 in full color, and a full-length biography of the artist.

Worlds Beyond: The Art of Chesley Bonestell (Ron Miller & Frederick C. Durant, III) Contains the definitive biography of Bonestell and examples of artwork from every aspect of his career. Now out of print.

Space Art (Ron Miller) An illustrated history of space art (out of print).

Blueprint for Space (Frederick I. Ordway, III & Randy Liebermann, eds) A history of the development of modern spaceflight--includes a chapter on the Collier's space program.

Visions of Space (David A. Hardy) A beautifully illustrated history of space art--updated and much larger than Space Art, although it concentrates a little more on hardware illustration than did the earlier book . Out of print.

Infinite Worlds (Vincent Di Fate) A large, heavily-illustrated history of science fiction art--the best and most comprehensive of its kind ever published.
